Why Every Spartan™ Exists
Collegiate apparel has long been a symbol of pride, tradition, and identity.
For generations, wearing university colors has been a way to say,
“I belong here.”
Yet historically, that experience has not been equally accessible to everyone. Adaptive apparel — clothing designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities — has often been treated as separate, limited, or invisible within collegiate merchandise offerings. When adaptive options do exist, they are frequently isolated from traditional apparel, offering fewer styles, less innovation, and little connection to the stories and traditions that make college sports culture so powerful.
Every Spartan™ was created to close that gap.
The brand was founded on a simple but transformative belief:

By designing traditional and adaptive garments together — with the same fabrics, same graphics, same storytelling, and same pride — Every Spartan™ ensures that no Spartan is left on the sidelines when it comes to representation, access, or belonging.

Rather than offering a separate “adaptive collection,” Every Spartan™develops apparel where adaptive features are seamlessly integrated into the same silhouettes worn by the broader Spartan community. Zipper placements, magnetic closures, alternative openings, and functional design elements are incorporated discreetly, preserving the traditional look and feel of collegiate apparel.
The result is clothing that looks familiar, feels premium, and functions for a wider range of bodies and abilities — without calling attention to differences.

Every Spartan™ goes beyond apparel by introducing Storywear™ — garments designed to tell real Spartan stories.
Each piece is connected to moments that define Michigan State University: historic plays, legendary athletes, iconic traditions, student experiences, community milestones, and shared memories that span generations.
Through the use of QR‑enabled storytelling, select garments link directly to digital content such as interviews, historical features, documentaries, or personal reflections. This allows the wearer to not only represent Michigan State, but to carry its stories with them.

Founded With Lived Experience
"I created Every Spartan™ as a lifelong Spartan whose connection to Michigan State University spans education, athletics, professional service, community involvement, and lived experience with disability.
As a Michigan State alumnus, former university employee, and fan, I understand MSU not only as an institution, but as a culture built on access to opportunity and the belief that education — and community — should be available to all.
Living with a physical disability has given me firsthand insight into how often accessibility is unintentionally overlooked, even in spaces rooted in inclusion.
That perspective shaped the vision for Every Spartan™: a brand that does not ask individuals to adapt to clothing, but instead adapts clothing to individuals — without compromising style, pride, or tradition.
Every Spartan™ is guided by empathy, experience, and respect for the Spartan community — not by trends or tokenism."
